Mount Batur, Bali

Incredible Bali….

Few places in the world have some specialties in their nature that can make you befriend with the overall aura of the surroundings, can make you believe in love , fall in love with some one or even the nature itself  and leaves an everlasting impression on your soul that invariably leads you to coming back to those places. Bali is such a place that will always hold a very unique and special place in my heart and soul not only for its splendor but also for its immense magical power to make me feel special, loved, cared, nurtured and immersed into the impossibility of the universe.

Truth to be told, if I ever see myself going back to  only one place in the world , it would be this massive island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. I could not explore the magnanimity of Bali while my trip in Indonesia in July, 2016. I may have been able to cover only 1/4th of it and honestly speaking you probably need a quarter of a year to go in depth of nature’s some of the best elements. Whether be the religious sites of cliffside Uluwatu temple, Tanah lot which sits on the amazing offshore rock surrounded by Indian ocean, greenery of the rice paddies in Ubud , some of the crashing waves of Indian ocean across Kuta, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu and Seminyak , street vendors stuffed with amazing traditional Balineese souvenirs, high end shopping malls near Kuta beach or a sparkling parties till the night drops  – Bali has everything to quench your thirst that you possibly might be looking for on a holiday.

I witnessed some of the most amazing beaches in my life so far which have massive shore breaks and paradise for surfers. I never thought of waking up at 3 am in the morning and getting on a ride all the way to Lovina beach just to become spell bound by the beauty of  sunrise and dolphins summer salting in their own stance and I did it and it proved to be one of the amazing experiences in my life time. When I think of Bali, I picture of  white sandy beaches with crystal clear water with monstrous shore breaks, watching sunsets from the famous rock bar while sipping through my cocktail , experiencing  the power of yoga , meditation retreats and hot stone message, savoring nasi gorang in each meal, revitalizing feeling of being around its holy places , taking a night troll on Kuta beach while hearing the sound of waves  and thinking about a sudden out pour of rain right on the beach that will open a flood gate of all kinds of possibilities that once seemed so far fetched in your life.

Now the question is do I love Bali or am I in love with Bali? The answer is as critical as being involved in a complicated relationship that makes you either sit and contemplate whether to expand your eye sight to look into the magical blue of the uncharted territory or just be under sail in the brisk wind and the warm sun and enjoy the familiarity of your chilled life. What ever the choice be, this place is always going to make an amazing come back as long as I am going to feel the real wrench while coming back from this mysterious beauty on earth to the unsolved puzzles of my own life.
